 | David's Interest in the martial arts began when he saw Bruce Lee as Kato in the Green Hornet. His dad was an early subscriber to Black Belt magazine. When David learned that Bruce Lee studied Wing Tsun (WT) under Yip Man, he bought a book on the subject but unfortunately was unable to take any formal lessons. After graduating from college and becoming a police officer, he was finally able to begin formal training in the martial arts. One day he was reading the latest issue of "Inside Kung Fu" when he came across an article about Sifu Emin Boztepe, WT and Latosa Escrima. From there he met Si-Hing Erik Diekman and joined EBMAS. David has been studying WT and Latosa Escrima for the past 10 years. Today, David is a certified instructor for WT and Latosa Weapon System. He has worked as a detective and currently works in the patrol division for the Addison Police Department where he also is a Use of Force/ Defensive Tactics Instructor |
